Apple posted guided tours for each application on the new iPad.
Does any other company have this level of production values for videos they make? These videos are absolutely beautiful.
What’s clear, though, is Apple isn’t selling the iPad as a computer—something you use to get something done. They’re selling an experience. The new iPad looks more like a piece of paper than a magazine or book, and you pick it up when you want to enjoy something. A book, a movie, the web, a piano—whatever it is, the iPad becomes that, and you’re holding it in your hands.
That’s what they’re getting at with these videos, and their vision for the device is quite clear: at some point, it’s going to be so thin and light that it feels like you’re holding a stack of papers, yet it can turn into whatever function you want. All of the things it does now, plus new things we can’t imagine yet.
