Ars: Bold new BlackBerry 9000 to take on expected 3G iPhone
It certainly looks better than past Blackberrys, both hardware and UI, but its UI still suffers the same problem all Blackberrys have: it is a pain in the ass to use. The scrollball, as nice a concept as it is, just doesn’t work as well in practice for me as it should; the email app is cluttered, which makes it difficult to use; and finally, the little app option sheet overlays are plain terrible.
So: a nice dress-up of the same Blackberry OS, but nothing bold about this update.
