iPhone Gets Push Gmail

September 22nd, 2009

Google adds push Gmail to Google Sync.

Google released Sync in February, which allowed iPhone users to synchronize their iPhone with Google Calendar and Contacts using Exchange. Gmail, though, wasn’t included.

Now it is. Users can get push calendar, email and contacts using Google’s services. And if they have Snow Leopard, they can sync iCal and Address Book to Google’s services — so this means a complete replacement for MobileMe (unless you want iDisk, which isn’t very convincing anyway).
