On July 31st, Samsung publicly released evidence from the Apple v. Samsung case that was barred from the trial, and released a statement saying the jury should decide the case based on all the evidence. Judge Lucy Koh was reportedly furious.

Today, Apple filed a request seeking dismissal of the case and a winning verdict because of Samsung’s leak.

I don’t know what exactly Samsung’s motivation was (trying to win with the public when you can’t win with the jury?), but one thing’s for sure: you don’t do something this ridiculously stupid unless you’re very scared about the case. Not good for Samsung.
