Tampa Bay Buccaneers Get iPad Play Books

August 29th, 2011

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers replaced play books with iPads:

That’s because rather than producing thick periodicals the size of the Yellow Pages, the Bucs have downloaded their playbooks on iPad 2s and distributed them to each of their 90 players.

What’s more, players can use the tablet computer to reference video files of games, and practice and situational videos of any NFL team.

What’s even more powerful about doing this is players can watch video of themselves at home almost immediately after the game, rather than spending time at the facility reviewing tape.

It’s sort of amazing just how versatile the iPad is.
