Patrick Rhone is running a fun little thing to see what people have in their SimpleNote accounts. I’m interested to see what others use it for and I’m participating as well.
Here’s mine:
- Restaurant list: I keep a list of restaurants Heidi and I want to try that we’ve come across on Yelp, the Food Network or while out. Trying new places—especially really small places—is one of our favorite things to do. It’s a long list.
- Article ideas: I don’t really write articles in SimpleNote, but I keep a list of random article ideas that pop into my head.
- Story ideas: Occasionally I get an idea for a short story. Hopefully at some point the stuff I’m working on will be good enough to not just sit on my hard drive.
- Application ideas: Pretty self explanatory.
- Random thoughts: Whenever I have a random idea or thought, I try to pop it into SimpleNote. I’ve lost too many ideas to my memory.
- Backpacking list: Earlier this month my brother, a friend and I went on a short backpacking trip through the Angeles National Forest. I’m keeping the list of supplies around for future trips.
I love Patrick’s idea for keeping a personal “manifesto”—what a great way to think out your prime beliefs and have them for reference wherever you are. I’ll be adding that to mine soon.
