The New York Times has a fantastic look at the Obama administration’s war on terror.

He has handled the war against al Qaeda and fundamentalist ideology quite well, and has smartly retained many of Bush’s officials. Bush’s most convincing thesis on the war — that we will ultimately defeat terrorists through our ideals, and not our military — is absolutely right, even though he sometimes tarnished it. Obama has more or less shown that he believes the same thing.
