Tim Cook
November 10th, 2008Fortune published an excellent article on Tim Cook, Apple’s Chief Operating Officer, and whether he could be Apple’s next CEO.
The article is not so much interesting in answering whether Cook can be Apple’s CEO, because he is more than capable, and seems to me to be the best person. Cook and Ive working together would be a fine combination.
It is interesting because it is a well-researched profile of a man never much discussed, but who, besides Jobs, has contributed the most to Apple’s success. He is exactly the kind of person you want working with you:
He had a manner that really caused people to enjoy working with him. He was smarter than anyone else, more aggressive in a positive way than anyone else, and worked harder than anyone else.
