AppleInsider: iPhone to get Geotagging

A new beta release of the iPhone 2.0 apparently added geotagging support for the iPhone’s camera app, and builds in a system-wide location service:

In addition, Apple is also reported to have added a toggle under the iPhone’s general preference pane that will allow users to enable/disable Location Services on a system-wide basis.

Third-party networking apps, like BrightKite, would be a perfect candidate to hook in to this.
